More of the same, for this is the blanket that never ends, due in no small part to the furry beast cuddled inside of it. I need to get some nail polish pictures, but my hands and nails are in a rather dreadful state at the moment. I haven't had polish on in about a month. I'm either knitting, will be knitting in the near future, or my hands are so sore from knitting I couldn't possibly hold a brush. It's not pretty, but I hope the end results will be.  Note- This blanket is not the only thing on my needles right now.

Happy (Belated) Birthday Jasper

Yesterday, we celebrated Jasper's 2nd Birthday. I can't believe he's been with me for nearly 2 years. In some ways, it feels like we've been together for an eternity, but also like he has grown from a squirmy little kitten, with a short little tail, into a beautiful and energetic cat, with a ton of personality, in no time.

I intended to post this yesterday, but my internet connection went kaput. I couldn't even get Safari to work on my iPhone! So, this is a slightly late tribute to my little orange boy.

Jasper and the Balloon

My mom brought Jasper a balloon a week or two ago, and he has been carting it around, ribbon in his mouth, ever since. He chews through the ribbon, and sometimes eats pieces of it, so the balloon is locked up when I'm asleep or out of the house. Still, the ribbon is significantly shorter than when we started.

Yes, that is a Q-Tip tied to the bottom of the balloon ribbon. They are two of his favorite toys, so I combined them. It makes it easier for him to grab the end in his mouth, or to hold it down with his paw. When he's not holding it down, the Q-Tip floats above his head, even over the couch, where he decided to park his balloon for the day.

Jasper was horribly disappointed over having not been raptured. I think he's starting to get over it, though.

Mika, my mom's cat who is currently living with me, was just diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure. I've been trying to get him on a schedule, and to get over my fear of sticking him with a needle. I hope to get into some routine soon. For now, I'm spending a great deal of time researching cat food. It's terribly exciting.
